It has been a little while since we updated you on Satis therefore we wanted to provide you with a short note on how Satis are operating in the current environment.

Our three offices in London, Watford and Milton Keynes have now been modified to allow some staff to return while maintaining social distancing requirements. However, the vast majority of staff are still working from home and this will continue to be the case for the foreseeable future. We ask that if you need to physically send anything to us that you call one of the Satis team and confirm the best way to do this. As has been the case throughout this period the phone numbers you can contact us on remain the same as when we were in our offices and email remains the best way to send us information.

We remind you that cyber scams have been on the rise during lockdown and if you have any doubt about any emails or correspondence you receive from Satis please call us to confirm before opening any links or providing any information. Our contact details are always up to date on our website so if you have any doubt over a phone number or email address please visit www.satiswealth.com to confirm.

As with most businesses video conferencing has been our main point of contact with clients over the lockdown period and for the most part it has been a surprisingly enjoyable experience. This type of meeting will continue to be our first choice of client contact in the near future and something we will continue to offer when we are back in our offices full time. So please feel free to request a Zoom meeting with us and if you need help setting this up the Satis team are now quite experienced and we have our own guidance notes which can help you.

Having said that we do miss the face to face meetings and know that for some clients this is by far their preferred choice. With lockdown easing and our offices being partially open Satis are now able to offer some face to face meetings. The availability of these meetings will depend on your planner’s personal circumstances and will take more planning than previously.

All meetings will be conducted with an abundance of caution and understandably may well need to be cancelled at short notice by either side. While our offices are now modified for social distancing, this has reduced both the number of people that can attend and the availability of rooms available. Therefore it may be that a meeting in your garden will be more acceptable to you and we are happy to try and make this work where feasible and as long as the summer time weather plays along.

As I have mentioned before it is crucial that we continue to have review meetings as usual and I ask that if you are due to have such a meeting you do not look to delay it on the basis of meeting when things get back to ‘normal’ as this could be some time away. Also if you wish to bring your review forward please let us know and we will be happy to accommodate. It is very important to Satis to know that our clients are not concerned over their financial planning at a time when there are more than enough other things to be thinking about.

Finally, the majority of platform providers are now able to provide tax information for the 19/20 tax year. If you are a client of Hillier Hopkins then this information has been made available to your team and you do not need to request for this to happen. If you are not a client of Hillier Hopkins and would like us to supply this information to your accountant then please contact a member of the Satis team and confirm to whom you would like this information sent. In order to maintain data security we are unable to automatically send out information to accountants to whom we have previously sent information without your authority and therefore ask that you confirm where you would like any information sent.

We will continue to update you as and when we make changes to our current work practices but as always if you have any questions or queries, no matter how small it might seem please contact us and we will be happy to help.

Take care

Ben
